Is efoiling hard to learn or do I need any prior experience?
Not at all! Efoiling is intuitive, safe, and perfect for beginners. Most people are up and flying within 15–20 minutes — no surfing, snowboarding, or kitesurfing experience needed. All you need is a sense of balance and a bit of stoke!
How long does the battery last and are there different types?
Yes! Efoil batteries typically last between 90 to 120 minutes, depending on your speed, weight, and water conditions. There are usually two battery options available:

Standard battery – around 90 minutes of ride time, great for shorter sessions or beginners.

Extended-range battery – up to 120 minutes of ride time, ideal for longer rides or more experienced riders.
Both are easy to charge and swap out, so you can keep riding as long as you like!
Where can I ride a Waydoo?
Pretty much anywhere there's calm, open water — dams, rivers, lagoons, or ocean bays. We’ll happily recommend a good spot near you.

Waydoo South Africa is a family-run business born from a love of the ocean and a serious sense of adventure. After sailing the Med for 2 years with their little boys, Jon and Kirsty Colledge discovered efoiling — and knew they had to bring it home.
Now, they’re on a mission to help more South Africans experience the pure joy of flying over water.
